Ajmal
The story of our founding father Haji Ajmal Ali is one of the essences of inspiration. He was born into a family of rice farmers from Alinagar, a small village in Hojai, Assam, India.
He had heard about the Oudh trade and how it could earn a good living for families in his hometown. He decided to leave his fate to chance with the forest, and this decision would lay the groundwork for Ajmal.
In 1951, he decided to move to Mumbai, India with just 500 rupees as his capital and set up his first shop on Nagdevi Street in Crawford Market. The rest, as they say, is history. He slowly built his business with honesty, hard work, sincerity and dedication. With their sons also entering the business - over two decades - the family planted the seeds of Ajmal Brand and grew them into a mighty tree.
So a simple Farmer took a great journey to become a world class Perfumer.
